I write in support of Amy Chen to represent La Cañada on the Foothill Municipal Water District, Division 4. Her candidacy comes at a pivotal moment as water, its scarcity and its rising cost, becomes an ever more pressing concern for our community. Amy understands these serious water issues and knows how best to address them.
Given her 40-year career as a professional water engineer and policy adviser, she will bring to the position deep technical knowledge and a practical understanding about the policy decisions that must be made to keep our water flowing.
Beyond her professional credentials, Amy is deeply rooted in our community. She is also a long-time resident of La Cañada Flintridge who, along with her husband, enjoyed raised her family here. She is now in a position to offer us her unique combination of knowledge and passion to address the challenges that are coming our way.
